The main series is ten races in ten consecutive weeks. Besides prizes for every race there are ace pigeon competitions on points and on average speed, a Big 5 competition, team and knockout competitions, a long distance championship, a money ring, and a car race with a Suzuki bakkie for first place. Babies can also be activated for separate baby competitions.
In the 2025 rules the final paid R250,000 to the winner, with prize money guaranteed from 1,000 activated birds. Entrants pay a deposit when the birds arrive and the full entry fee only for birds still in the loft at the end of May.
