About the race
Cape Town International One Loft Race flies from Pellmeadow Estate near Klapmuts, between Paarl and Stellenbosch, and runs both a summer and a winter series.

The summer series follows the N7 north, from short races at Koringberg and Piketberg through hot spots at Clanwilliam, Klawer, Nuwerus and Bitterfontein, to the final from Springbok, about 470 km and a long day on the wing. In 2026 the summer final was set for 17 or 24 January. The winter series follows the N1, where weekly mass liberations can see 7,000 to 10,000 birds in the air.
